Can I Hook Up An Atenna To A Ntsc Tuner To Get Hd Tv On My Hdtv-ready Lcd?

i hooked up a dvd recorder that had a tuner built in. I want to attach an atenna to that to receive local HD signals through the component or HDMI cable.

    You need an ATSC tuner to be able to tune to HD/Digital stations not a NTSC.

    Yes you can, however NTSC transmission will end in 2008 sometime. Until then you can receive HD signals on NTSC tuners.
