I was thinking of using the LCD 32″ TV as a computer monitor, because it is much cheaper. I was wondering if it will work fine. The model I am considering is here:

Yup, according to the specs on that TV you linked to, it has 1 RGB port listed separately from component, which means it’s a DB15 VGA port.
If all your computer has is a VGA port, then you hook it up to that RGB port on that Vizio using a standard VGA monitor cable.
Better yet, if your computer has a DVI output, you can use a DVI-to-HDMI cable, which is a digital signal and is the best way to connect a computer to an LCD HDTV.
I’m using an LCD HDTV as my monitor, using a DVI-to-HDMI cable. It works beautifully. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f347/a…
Hope this helps.
It all depends on your computer. You need to find out if your computer has a Video OUTPUT which lets you connect through HDMI or other ports type to your TV. If you do you should only buy the cable, connect and computer normally does the rest. For any further questions please let me know.
If they have a Svideo input, VGA input, HDMI input, or DVI input, and your PC has the output for any of these, yes.
If not, there are other ways around it but the quality will be horrible.
no vga on tv
cable required to convert dvi or vga to hdmi
if vga you will use pc sound or cable to connect sound to tv speakers
deffinitly.
some of them even come with pc plug in
This one does not come with pc INput but now days video card can be hooked up with an hdmi cable, so yes.
Yes that LCD can using a VGA cable.
im like pretty sure you cant…i saw no vga compat. but there was hdmi if ur comp supports it
Yes, you can use that HDTV, however,
you need to know if the graphics ‘engine’ (GPU http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPU), will support the resolution of the HDTV, so that the clarity, color, and graphics movement, is decent enough.
If not, you’ll have a slightly fuzzy picture, and ‘ghost traces’, as the characters of the game move around real fast.
If your computer has Integrated Graphics, like used in laptops, or in a desktop computer without a, ( Real Good), graphics card,
Forget about it!
Plus there are certain cables that you can use. Some have less quality because of their technology, than others. HDMI is Infinitely better than a S/PDIF connector.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPDIF

Nothing like scaring your neighbors, and getting the cops called on you, because your windows are rattling, and people at the end of the block can hear C:SS, Perfectly! lol! (PROBABLY, you should avoid this! I need any ‘hatin’ email from your neighbors! lol!)
