Not on that set in particular, but regarding “budget” tvs in general.. They generally suffer from two flaws.. One, the internal scaling on them is very cheap, therefore non hdtv stuff looks like hell.. Two, pay attention to the colors, as some inexpensive sets have poor color reproduction… Actually one more thing, see what the set looks like from an angle….. These sets are almost always based on inferior mother glass, or from an older generation plant so they will not be as good as a mainstream brand (samsung, sharp etc), but if you don’t mind some of the tradeoffs, you may be able to save a few bucks
My only comment about an LCD TV,make sure it’s HD compatible…All programming is supposed to be broadcast like that within two years.
All broadcasts have to be DIGITAL in 2 years, it has nothing to do with HD, which can be broadcast either digital or analog.
I would be careful about buying a “no name” lcd, they aren’t very good in general.
