Yes i saw it in a store, the picture was truly brilliant.
The ambilight thing is a good idea, and the tv is getting rave reviews on the net.

I personally would recommend Sony Bravia range. And a Full HD TV (1080p) such as the W or X Range ones. No one can compete with them at the moment, unless you get a plasma (which i wouldn’t recommend). And if you are looking at an Ambilight then surely you would have the money to get a high end sony one
The only issue i have with the Ambilight is that they are overly-expensive. And im not sure whether the light would get on my nerves a little after a while.

We purchased the newest model from John Lewis and have had it since last Saturday. We’ve just parted with a Panasonic and given it to our daughter. We were a little worried that we were doing the right thing buying the Philips as we’ve always been told Panasonic were the best. We had our fingers crossed.
We are absolutely delighted with our new purchase – the picture is fantastic and we’re not yet using HD technology. We wonder how this picture can be improved upon – and would we even notice. We use the ambilight if we watch a film and its great.
After all our worrying, we cannot fault our purchase. Weve made a good decision and can recommend it. And of course you get a 5 yr warranty on tvs from John Lewis.
