I Want To Connect My Hd Ready Tv To My Notebook To Watch Movies. What Should I Do?

I want to get the sharpest possible picture quality. My TV has a HDMI port, but my laptop does not have DVI or HDMI . Can I get either one installed & how expensive is it? The common ports that both have right now are – S-Video & VGA. Is the difference between VGA & DVI significant enough to get a DVI port on existing laptop & connect via DVI to HDMI. Or is there a connector\adapter through which I can maybe get a DVI port?

  1. damon says:

you cant add video cards to laptops… your only solution for hdmi or dvi is a usb adapter… this is an example:http://www.cooldrives.com/usb-hdmi-adapt…
there is a difference in quality hdmi/dvi vs vga/s-vid… how significant depends on source material, video performance, and display resolution
