Is The Sony® 32″ Bravia® Xbr Series Lcd Tv With High Speed Hdmi™ Cable – 6′ 6 A Good Television?

I have yet to get an HDTV and dont have a lot of experience purchasing them.I have a TV in mind, but don’t know if its a good buy or how the viewing experience is. I’m going to be using it to play 360, watch sports, and the occasional movie/ show. Also what does High Speed HDMI mean? Another question is, it is on a stand? Will I be able to remove the stand and hang the TV to the wall so it doesn’t take up any room? Any thoughts or experience with this TV would be appreciated.

If you’re going to play xbox 360 with it you should consider the screen refresh rate which is measured in hertz. The ones you’re looking at did not mention the refresh rate on Sony’s product page. The next thing to consider is the contrast ratio, which determines the level of blacks the screen can produce the higher the ratio the better.
Consider LG’s 32″ LH70 series LCD TV. Motions on games and sports will be smooth and highly detailed when viewed on its 120Hz screen most screen have only 60Hz refresh rate. It also have 100,000:1 contrast ratio to give you better blacks to produce greater image quality. I may sound like a sales rep. but I have tested several LCD TV’s and compared them side by side.
HDMI High Speed is just a HDMI cable variation, you can buy separate HDMI cable as most other LCD TV doesnt include HDMI Cable
the Sony® 32″ BRAVIA® XBR Series LCD TV comes with a stand and you should be able to remove it for wall mounting.
IF you have the money get the ones with the most contrast ratio and screen refresh rate. Other features like USB connection and extra content could be added soon when you purchase your compatible multi-media extender or home theater.

A month ago I was in the market for a 32″ LCD tv. Upon reading the customer reviews on all brands I decided on a Panasonic 32″ LCD, it had the best score of all tvs. I went to purchase it at Best Buy for the price of $399, but they had sold out. Instead purchased the 37″ model for $549. Keep in mind that you can not see the difference between 720P and 1080P in screen size small than a 46″. Go online to Home theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs. You will notice that Panasonic makes great tvs, they have a tv in each of the price category from the entry level to the high end. Hope this will help you out.
