Question About My Hd Tv And Ps3 Slim?

I am thinking of getting the new PS3 Slim and I have heard that it looks even better on an HD tv. Well i have an HD tv but dont have HD hooked up to it through direct tv (i know, kinda pointless lol). but my questions is do I need the HD service hooked up to my HD-ready tv for the playstation to run on HD picture?? or is just the fact that my tv is HD-ready enough?? thanks!
as long as your TV has the HDMI inputs on the back (or side) you are good to go just don’t forget the HDMI cable
If you’ve got the HDMI cable you should do fine just don’t forget to go do defenitions and set it to HD
