Thanks. Also i’m looking for a decent sized (32″/37″) flat screen TV and i really don’t know where to start or how much i’d be expecting to pay. Any good deals going around at the mo? Ta. x

I’ve asked several techie type people that same question, and they all said to forget plasma and go with LCD … or I would be very disappointed in five years.
LCD Tvs are very fragile; the screens are plastic matte.
Plasma screens are glass.
I usually check reviews from Amazon UK and based on 3 reviews, Sharp LE37XD1E – 37″ Widescreen 1080P Full HD LCD TV worth the money.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/redirect.html…
The technology could have gone either way, but the LCD has come out on top. There is too much ghosting on the Plasmas. Thats where an objects shadow can leave an imprint on the screen, very annoying. LCD is the way to go. There are lots of good deals about, but avoid going for the cheapest option, it’ll pay dividends in the long run.
Good question. I’m not fully sure myself, but I know that plasma’s are generally considered bad for the environment.
LCD is the best for various reasons of which i will not tell.
you want the doovde?
Ok the difference between plasma and LCD is…… plasma will eat about 3 times the electric than a lcd and also do you ever see during some programs up in the cornor of the screen you get a logo… like itv4 or sky one or challange tv ect ect, with a plasma tv this will burn into your screen and when you change channel it takes ages to fade… this does not happen on lcd..also plasma is run by gas and if it breaks it costs loads to get fixed….. so my advice is go for the LCD and as for deals you would have to shop online for the best ones.. my tv was £1400 from currys for a 42 inch lcd and its great even though it means 3 years of debt lol
